I use this for a worksite stereo. My number one complaint is the thing is just not loud enough. It's about ready to die I think. Had it for about a year. This seems to be a problem with alot of the satellite radios I've seen. There doesn't seem to be a beefy, loud portable satellite radio out there.
Up front, I can tell ya the Skyfi2 is a great receiver and so is this bundle. I had ordered this bundle as a second kit for my other car and home use.However, the "Electronic Express" that shipped it to me, screwed up the shipment and sent it to someone else. Amazon was great and refunded my money, but I was kind of disappointed.Since, the Skyfi2 is pretty much discontinued and Electronic Express is the only one selling this bundle, I opt for the new XpressRC as my second kit from Amszon.
This product worked for all of 1/2 hour, and with extensive work w/XM radio to troubleshoot, it needed to be returned to the seller, Digital Media Outlet, however, I cannot seem to get them to get moving on this.I am really dissappointed as over the past 2 weeks I've contacted them (which I'm only able to do via email as they do not have a phone # contact) approximately 4 times, and can't seem to get an RMA# to return the faulty product at no cost to me, or receive a replacement for the XM radio subscription that I've purchased.I am not sure what to do at this point. I'm sure it's a fluke that it doesn't work, but wished the seller would straighten all this out.
Yes the FM signal is weak but if you use the antenna mount that is included, it works great. My wife and I are both loving ours. The dial feature is far superior to the Roady we both had before. The Skyfi2 is a definite keeper.
The main drawback on the remote control is that there is no MENU button. Overall the performance is great. The FM/AM receiver is really to weak to plan on using. You have to use the one on the receiver then you can scroll with the remote. You get two xm antennas with the bundle.
